I am currently looking for a Head of Public Engagement for a world leading institute of medical research and innovation. You will be responsible for supporting the Public, Community and Education Outreach teams. I am looking for immediately available outstanding candidates for this exciting 3-month contract!
Key responsibilities:
Support the Director with the strategic leadership of the institute's public engagement, community engagement, education outreach and exhibitions programmes.
Lead and manage the Engagement teams as delegated to deliver consistently high-quality programmes that maintain scientific integrity.
Support the development of engagement strategies and new ways to engage with target audiences, using research and scientists to further raise and enhance the organisations profile and achieve the fifth strategic priority: to engage and inspire the public.
Support the development and ensure that the vision for engagement is communicated, understood and embedded throughout the organisation.
Manage the development and implementation of a portfolio of audience-focused, demand-led, science-based programmes that engage and inspire interest in STEM.
Manage the public events strategy and management of the exhibition space.
Manage local government engagement.
Support with the development of strategic alliances and partnerships with science, academic and cultural organisations, and other local/national stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of a corporate/philanthropic fundraising strategy and establishing opportunities for sponsorship of the public programmes.
Evaluate the engagement activity and support the Director with leading the continuous improvement of services provided by a strong interest in engaging a wide range of audiences with biomedical science.
