Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for an Individual Giving Manager for a children related charity in order to develop and implement an individual giving strategy, including through cash, regular gifts, high value and major gifts, legacies and raffles.

Key responsibilities:

To lead the development of the individual fundraising strategy to ensure income generation from donor recruitment, retention, development and reactivation programmes are maximised
To be responsible for developing the Charity s direct marketing activities with a focus on donor recruitment, retention and development, driving long-term sustainable income growth, with a particular focus on digital routes to market
Develop our higher value givers and major donors, nurturing and growing this form of giving, working closely with the Events Manager and Corporate Partnerships Manager.
Developing a legacy fundraising strategy and promoting legacy giving to relevant audiences
Taking a creative approach to generate additional products and opportunities for our audiences to give financially
To support the expansion of the brand of the charity, working with the Communications and Public Affairs Manager

Person specification:

experience in a senior fundraising role focused on individual giving
Extensive experience of digital platforms and social media to develop supporter communications
A highly creative approach to engaging potential and existing donors through stories, evidence of impact and passion, testing and evidencing successful approaches
Ability to plan, organise and work under own initiative and to meet agreed deadlines by prioritising and managing own workload
Excellent interpersonal skills including excellent ability to tell engaging stories in writing and verbally
Ability to deliver inspirational presentations to a variety of audiences clearly, concisely and confidently
Excellent knowledge of digital fundraising techniques
Up to date and familiar with Codes of Fundraising practice set by Institute of Fundraising and the Fundraising Regulator.
