Interim Director of Fundraising

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for an Interim Director of Fundraising for a health related charity in order to cover busy period of 6 months and provide a support for the Fundraising team transition. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

Deliver all income targets ensuring the Charity meets its strategic objectives by executing strong and motivational leadership and strategic management to the Fundraising team
Deliver on the Charity s income generation strategy, maximising current income streams, identifying new opportunities and always seeking to enhance the profile of the Charity
Ensure the fundraising team strive for growth across all income streams, whilst fostering a culture of collaborative working and cross-team support
Work with SMT to contribute to the overall strategic director of the charity including the identification of fundraising KPI s / objectives in line with the business plan
Provide where requested fundraising reports / data for the CEO and Board
Lead the delivery of strategic fundraising
Nurture the highest value donor relationships, providing excellent stewardship to retain and increase the Charity s major donors
Oversee the fundraising methods used by the charity ensuring their cost effectiveness towards the achievement of income goals and budgets
Ensure recruitment, motivation and retention of all fundraising volunteers
Oversee publishing of all fundraising literature, case for support, leaflets, invites, pledge cards, newsletters etc.
Ensure all fundraising activities are carried out in a manner that meets the Charity Commissioner s requirements and is complaint with current legislation



In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Experience of working within a charitable organisation or within a fundraising capacity
Strong leadership and strategic management skills with the ability to lead and motivate
People management skills, experience leading a diverse team
Ability to develop relationships / partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent written / report writing skills
Ability to prioritise, organise and manage workload effectively whilst dealing with unplanned interruptions
Excellent customer focused skills
Excellent IT skills
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to Charity and Trust policies
