Calling all Heads of Facilities!
I am currently looking for a part-time (3 day week) Interim Head of Central Services for an amazing international charity for 6 - 9 months. This exciting role will see you lead and develop high quality customer focused conferencing or space rental services to provide income and contribution to support the voluntary sector and the organisations wider work.

Main duties:
Lead responsibility for the building which is circa 25,000 square feet with our own head office, a number of tenants and conferencing space. This includes all related activities such as repairs and maintenance, utilities, internal services such as printers /copiers, telephone system and post and the negotiation and management of all related suppliers.
Negotiation with tenants and their agents to secure market rate arrangements. Lead on the relationship with our own property consultants.
Develop further our approach to environmental sustainability.
Attend the Charities Facilities Managers Network Group on behalf of NCVO.
Lead responsibility for health and safety and attend the Charities Safety Group Network on behalf of the organisation.
Lead responsibility for insurance and related claims.
Manage HR matters in accordance with the charity’s HR policies and devolved approach.
Draw up, manage and control financial budgets, reporting to the charity’s trading board and the financial and commercial sub-committee of the board of trustees.

Experience
Managing, developing and significantly growing a profitable property related business, ideally including conferencing.
Significant experience of managing teams to deliver high quality customer experiences.
Experience of negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers and tenants.
Experience of health and safety particularly in running a building.
Leadership of a team delivering a range of services.
