Interim Salesforce Developer

I am delighted to be working with an amazing youth charity in search of an experienced Interim Salesforce Developer on a 3-month FTC. This role sits within the Engagement Directorate, which is comprised of Membership, Digital, Communications & Policy and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) functions.
This role will report into the Head of Membership and work closely with the Membership team, our Digital Development Lead and the ICT team.

Role Purpose:
The Salesforce Developer is responsible for managing and customising high performing solutions on our Salesforce for instance, collaborating internally to conduct needs assessments and to gather requirements. The role is responsible for creating and updating applications and processes within/related to Salesforce, customising visual layouts, integrating third-party platforms, troubleshooting technical issues and improving system, technical and data standards. The role is also required to develop internal staff, run training, produce and update documentation, and provide on-going support.

Main duties of the role:
Meet with colleagues to determine organisation, functional and technical requirements translate requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and products - configuration, integration and customisation.
Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions. Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution's feasibility and functionality.
Develop and test developments, integrations, and app and data migration elements of any Salesforce improvements.
Use best practices to perform enhancements and bug fixes as needed - proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts.
Train teams, produce documentation and provide ongoing support.
Participate in a CRM Review process as needed (solution definition, time estimating and project planning).



The task list (an overview)
Introduce process automation and workflows for key processes.
Develop the training platform and automated external emails.
Investigate and resolve user access and permissions sets, unfiled email templates,
internal collaboration tools.
Run a health check to highlight technical, system and data standards. Action
improvements as applicable.
Assess and manage integrations with external apps/platforms.

Skills, experience and knowledge:
Proven ability in full Salesforce lifecycle development efforts, workflows, apps, and best practice design patterns and practices. E
Experience and expertise in core web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery.
Experience with web services (REST, SOAP,JSON & XML).
Proven experience in APIs and integrating systems with Salesforce including third-party applications.
Proven expertise in current Data Protection law and privacy by design and default principles (GDPR and PECR).
Excellent project management skills, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrable data collection, analysis and management skills.
Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel.
