Internal Communications Officer/ Manager

Job description

Harris Hill is currently seeking an Internal Comms Officer or Manager to support a national mental health charity in London.

The client is currently losing both their manager and officer, so need someone at either level who can help them cover the role whilst they recruit.

The manager is vacant and the officer will leave at the end of July, so would be ideal for someone who could join immediately, that would be happy to get their hands dirty and cover any aspect of the internal comms function that needs it. Their is no strategic function to this role but will need someone with the following skills and experience:

Manager
I provide internal communications leadership to ensure colleagues are aware of, and engaged with, the charity's strategy, I lead a comprehensive internal communications service supporting colleagues to deliver the charities strategic messages. I provide all staff with regular, meaningful and consistent information about activity across the organisation. This is a key role working closely with the Associate Director of Campaigns and Communications, Executive team and Associate Director for People and Organisational Development to communicate a sense of shared purpose across the charity, promote two-way communication, share successes, increase staff engagement with our mission, values and behaviours and manage change effectively.

Officer
Acting as a first point of contact for the internal communication needs of colleagues, supporting departments to deliver key communications to staff in a planned way. Managing a range of internal communications channels including our new Workplace platform and all staff emails. In tandem, you will look for new and innovative ways to expand and improve our communication channels. At all times you will be on the lookout for great stories from across the charity that showcase and celebrate good practice and increase staff engagement.

The role itself is ideally 3dpw in the office in London and the rest from home. Totally remote if an option however, ILW would be removed.
