Harris Hill is working with a Learning Disability charity in their search for a Legacy Fundraising Manager to cover a permanent recruitment period.

This role is a 2-3dpw role for a minimum of 3 months due to searching for a permanent person. This does carry the possibility of temp to perm however. The role is fully remote until at least September.

As a temp, the client has stipulated that you will mainly concentrate on the admin side of this role, however if you have marketing experience within legacy, this could be utilised. I have given the details below, so please read between the lines on this one.

Principal Accountabilities:
Complete in depth analysis and research to ensure the legacy fundraising programme is insight and audience led
Develop & improve relationships with solicitors across the UK.
Develop and maintain budget with milestones, timescales and KPI's.
Produce regular reports identifying the number of pledgers, and donors who go on to leave legacies whilst identifying and reporting on other essential KPI's.
Work with the Data Services Team to develop analysis and insight in order to improve future targeting.
Identify opportunities to promote gifts in wills internally and externally
Project manage campaigns and marketing initiatives including direct mail, online, telephone, display advertising, development of materials and event management, ensuring activities are delivered on time, on brand and on budget
Communicate directly with supporters in writing and by phone to build relationships, and improve audience understanding
Stewardship and cultivation of pledgers implementing an appropriate communications programme to nurture long term relationships
Build internal relationships and capability to integrate legacy fundraising across the department oversee training, development of toolkits and identify opportunities for promotion of gifts in wills
Develop and ensure the supporters and organisations needs are met with the legacy fundraising and in memory vision, proposition, case for support and key messages Project manage any involvement in any sector consortia, will writing and promotional schemes
Ensure the administration of gifts in wills is fit for purpose - including liaising with executors (personal and professional) and next of kin, seeking legal advice where appropriate and maintenance of records and paperwork Compile monthly reports and end of campaign reviews, complete quarterly income and expenditure reforecasts
Shape plan and deliver cross organisational legacy marketing and in memory marketing strategy to maximise future income based on learnings and analysis from development work.
Play an active part in the charity sector to inform the overall legacy programme including monitoring materials and marketing activities, keeping abreast of best practice and codes of practice, attending groups and presentations
