Major Giving Administrator

Harris Hill is working with a national charity, in their search for an interim Major Giving Administrator for 5 months on a full time basis.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding and detail oriented administrator who has excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills. They will have a flair for relationship building as well as lots of initiative, be a strong team player and also able to work autonomously.

This position will support the delivery of income generation from Trusts & Foundations and major donors by maximising team effectiveness, particularly through strong database skills. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the whole organisation to ensure a joined up approach to Major Giving fundraising.

Duties:
To support the team with effective filling/ information retrieval systems, meeting bookings, calendar management, minute taking, and other administrative tasks accurately and to deadlines.
Support donor communications, for example bespoke thank you/ enquiry letters, mass event mailings, phone calls, emails etc, for high value individual supporters, trusts & foundations, and celebrities/ VIP's/ Ambassadors.
Support the Head of Major Giving and Director of Income Generation with Major Giving communications and related activity, accurately and to deadline.
Check the daily batch (income) reports to ensure MG income has been coded correctly, requesting and following up changes where required with the Finance team; and that MG income is tracked and donations thanked in timely fashion.
Act as the super-user of the database (ThankQ) in the Major Giving team, supporting its use and identifying and promoting its benefits.
Maintaining the database (ThankQ) to ensure all donor comms and data is recorded and updated accurately, contact permissions are correctly sought and logged, as well as supporting the MG team with importing and extracting information as required (in conjunction with ICT).
Working with the ICT and business systems team to implement a 'moves management' system for effective Trust and major donor stewardship, delivery of accurate and targeted mass mailings, and regular and bespoke reporting.
Co-ordinate all aspects of the bi-annual small trust appeals, the warm Trust funder programme (Anniversary Asks), funder engagement/ development briefings, and any other Major Giving initiatives as necessary.
Support the growth of initiatives such as our Ambassadors regular giving programme, and coordinate activity with our celebrity supporters and the Development Board.
Ensure that all donor information, funder pipelines and other donor management tools are accurate and up to date.
Support Major Giving by carrying out research, both online and across the charity to include: prospect/ donor research, and project information for accurate reporting back to funders.
Support the Major Giving team with any other tasks as and when required, and by identify opportunities to promote Major Giving with colleagues in the IG department, and with project delivery teams in the wider organisation.
