Marketing and Communications Manager

Harris Hill is working with a not for profit organization in their search for a Marketing and Communications Manager for 6 months.

My client is a national organisation that acts as a voice for the sector, striving to change policy at government level.

This role is a 6 month contract on a full time basis. The role can be worked remotely as long as you can occasionally attend the London office. The salary band has two levels. The bottom end is for outer London and the upper end for inner London.

Purpose of the role:
To plan and schedule all marketing and communications activity and to translate needs and objectives into actionable plans that support strategic goals and income targets.
To lead the marketing relationship with internal product and service stakeholders. Ultimately maximising the impact of products, services and support within the sector and amongst key audiences optimising use of marketing resources.
To set and manage the reporting of marketing Key Performance Indicators and act as the hub for audience insight and research to support colleagues and product/service development within the organisation.
Line management of two members of staff
Responsible for the planning and delivery of a large volume of marketing and communications to support organisational objectives, including significant income targets
Marketing and communications activity will consider multiple stakeholders and audiences, including 16,000 members, over 45,000 other organisations that have a relationship with and the wider voluntary sector.
Knowledge
Significant knowledge of volunteering and the voluntary sector
Up-to-date knowledge of, and genuine interest in, best practice in marketing planning processes and techniques, including an understanding of audience segmentation and targeting, proposition building, use of research and reporting
Knowledge of marketing communications planning, and a good understanding of digital marketing techniques.
Skills
Ability to maintain positive relationships utilising exceptional communication, collaboration, influencing and problem-solving skills
Excellent project management, planning and organisational skills with ability to negotiate and manage multiple priorities
Experience
Working with senior stakeholders and translating business objectives into marketing plans
Using insight to develop creative, messaging solutions and new product propositions
Using data to shape decisions, execution and improve outcomes
Experience supporting, developing and coaching people
