Marketing Data Analyst

Job description

A fantastic International Campaigning Charity in London are looking to recruit a Marketing Analyst. The Marketing Analyst is responsible for providing the insight, reporting and learnings to evaluate the effectiveness and inform the direction of the charity's marketing and campaigning activities. The role is also responsible for managing the extraction of mailing and other contact data for charity's supporter development initiatives in accordance with the workload schedule. Please note this role is a FTC for a year.
Key responsibilities
To be part of the team providing the data analysis, data selections and reporting necessary for the delivering, monitoring and evaluation of the charity's marketing, campaigning and communication activities.
Develop and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions in Microsoft Power BI to monitor and analyse campaign and marketing activity and inform decision making at a tactical and strategic level.
To work with stakeholders to develop and refine analysis briefs and look for opportunities to proactively suggest analysis projects that would add value to the charity.
To present analytic findings back to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, in person and written, ensuring that the differing levels of technical expertise of the intended audience is factored into the presentation style and approach.
To liaise with the relevant internal teams, and external suppliers to ensure that any analysis tools and reports are regularly and accurately updated or created Internally or proposed to the Data Analysis Manager should a gap exist.
To ensure that all analysis and profiling work undertaken is maintained in a central repository allowing for ease of location and reference.
To ensure that supporter data is held and processed in accordance with Data Protection legislation and best practice.
To work with the Data Analysis Manager as required to develop and achieve the team mission, objectives and plans, including participation in team meetings.
Person specification
Experience of statistical analysis within a marketing environment.
Experience working with marketing platforms, relational databases, social media platforms and a range of data analysis tools and techniques.
Ability to use data visualisation and dashboarding tools such as MS Power BI to an advanced level.
Ability to use R, Python, or similar data science tools.
Understanding of the Data Protection Act / GDPR and all relevant legislation.
