Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communications Officer (campaigns) for an education related charity in order to develop and successfully execute of marketing and communications campaigns to meet recruitment and acquisition targets for the organisation
Alongside colleagues and other stakeholders a Marketing and Communications Officer will also develop and publish innovative content for channels, campaigns and events.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Working with colleagues to plan, develop and implement campaigns for courses to meet student recruitment targets, within agreed timelines.
Working with colleagues to plan, develop and implement campaigns to support (B2B) membership and accreditation growth.
Taking ownership of the marketing of events (in conjunction with colleagues) for student recruitment, open days, job fairs and graduation ceremonies.
Preparing and supervising the production and delivery of online and offline marketing collateral: emails, digital adverts, brochures, hand-outs, leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes.
Posting engaging content on the organisation s social media channels. Responding to comments and enquiries within agreed time periods.
Writing and editing articles for the web, magazine and external publications when required
Updating the customer CRM database and providing analysis when required.
Supporting the senior marketing manager in the undertaking of market research.
Regular reporting on campaign success and ROI using a metrics-based approach.
Occasional presenting to colleagues and other stakeholders.
Working on other marketing projects as and when required.

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Demonstrable marketing/communications experience within an educational environment operating in B2C and B2B markets
Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering student recruitment campaigns
Demonstrable experience in developing and promoting content marketing for multiple audiences and managing a team of content creators (internal staff and freelancers).
Experience of managing social media channels, social media advertising and creating innovative social content to meet key objectives.
Experience of using marketing email services (e.g. Mailchimp) for campaigns
Knowledge of paid media channels (online & offline) for campaigns
Knowledge of website management tools (CMS) for updating web pages.
Knowledge of Higher Education sector.
