Media Officer

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Media Officer for a mental health related charity in order to cover busy period of 3 months.
Media Officer will supporting the newsdesk (eg handling media enquiries, monitoring and recording coverage, dealing with queries from journalists, setting up panel meetings and other admin).
Day to day activities will range from monitoring media coverage and producing daily news updates for the organisation, to responding to media enquiries and assisting with customer service and administration related to the event.
The right person will have strong communication and organisational skills, and be confident producing written comments, organising spokesperson interviews and prioritising a varied workload across two different work streams. Media officer will also need to have experience of using a media monitoring service (eg Precise) to monitor and tag coverage.
