Operations and Compliance Manager

Job description

I am currently looking for an experienced and efficient Operations and Compliance Manager for a new innovative national health charity based in London. This part time (28 hours per week) temporary role will be an immediate start.

Operations:
Design and embed efficient charity processes to drive improvement and compliance in working practices
Review and refine current charity processes to ensure appropriate processes and polices are implemented
Manage the Grants fund by coordinating the review of applications and liaising with applicants to obtain more information
Work in collaboration with the Finance Manager to ensure grants are issued within a timely manner
Define strategic plans to ensure successful delivery of campaigns with a focus on digital solutions and data management

Compliance:
Define controls, policies, and procedures in line with the Charity Commissions expectations
Embed controls, policies, and procedures into charity operations and publish and educate staff and volunteers on controls, policies, and procedures
Ensure staff and volunteers understand individual and collective obligations
Conduct compliance audits, report findings, suggest actions and help in their implementation
Ensure document traceability and management and prepare annual reports and other Charity Commission obligations in collaboration with the Finance Manager
Engage and coordinate work with Legal Counsel teams where appropriate
Support the Executive team proving oversight and monitoring performance of charity operations where necessary

Essential:
Experience in developing and implementing compliance to policies, processes, and procedures in the Charity Sector
Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage a high-volume workload and manage conflicting priorities
Proven negotiator able to find collaborative resolution to problems
