Policy and Briefings Officer

Job description

I'm working exclusively with a leading social investment charity, who are looking for a Policy and Briefings Officer.

Based in London, this will be a hands-on and challenging role where you will have exposure to high-level policymaking on a national level. This position involves supporting the organisation's Policy Managers with the delivery of their thematic policy work and will, therefore, see you undertaking policy research and analysis. You will also have external engagement responsibilities and be expected to represent the organisation at external events and develop a network of key contacts.

Additionally, you will work closely with the CEO and be expected to produce accurate policy briefings.

Although it is not essential to come from a policy background, you will have at least an active interest in current affairs and the challenges society faces and how those challenges might be tackled. Moreover, you will be an exceptionally organised individual with excellent research skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for either a current early policy professional or someone looking to break into the policy world to kickstart their career in policymaking on a national scale for a highly influential organisation. This position pays £27,000 - £30,000 and is full time / permanent, with generous benefits on offer.

If you are interested in this position, please send your CV to harry.marven@harrishill.co.uk . Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
