Job description

I am currently looking for experienced Prevention Officers for an amazing children's charity, to work alongside Regional Organised Crime Units to provide intelligence led interventions in a range of public, private and charity sector contexts in the prevention of Child Sexual and Criminal Exploitation, Modern Slavery and Trafficking.
Roles are based in the East Midlands, West Midlands, North West and Wales
Interventions will include, but not be limited to best practice guidance, resource creation, training and the development of strategic plans to deliver tangible results and systems change within a defined region.
Work as a subject matter expert to deliver a wide range of intelligence led 'tasks' bespoke to each region, which could include working with the police on operations, engaging with commercial bodies, writing guidance or researching interventions.
Develop and maintain partnerships and undertake multi-agency working, including working with young people, to deliver prevention interventions within the region you lead and at a national level.
Work across modern slavery, child trafficking, child criminal exploitation (CCE), child sexual abuse (CSA) and child sexual exploitation (CSE), by engaging the police and a range of other professionals to raise awareness and ultimately to reduce harm to children and young people. Represent the Charity at several strategic external events and meetings.
Keep up to date with new developments in exploitation, trafficking and modern slavery, as well as safeguarding practice to help to ensure that the work of the Prevention Programme at the cutting edge in this area.

Key activities:
Develop initiatives that reduce risk for children and young people, through the prevention of CSE/A, CCE, Trafficking and Modern-Day Slavery across your region.
Work in partnership according to structures in the region (e.g. ROCU, County Lines coordination centre and/or Metropolitan Police leads), data analysts and wider partners within the region attending partner meetings to support colleagues or provide additional contributions/interventions as required.
Contribute to creating and developing resources, best practice guidance and web content in response to gaps and emergent themes in child exploitation. Do so with support from the Senior Prevention Officer, Service Manager and the communications team.
Provide tactical support to a range of police operations.
Ensure that your work is scheduled in accordance with programme priorities and that all tasks undertaken are informed by intelligence and insight.
Drive systems change in the disruption of child exploitation, trafficking and abuse by working with partner organisations by area and regionally.
Oversee the development of new 'tasks' informed directly by the intelligence of partners and signed off by the Prevention Programme Service Manager and/or National Programme Manager.
Follow policy and procedure to safeguard a young person identified as at risk/a victim of exploitation, trafficking, modern slavery.

Experience:
Multi-agency working with Police, law enforcement and other voluntary and statutory partners
Working in a strategic role.
Working within and contributing toward effective and innovative services for vulnerable children
Co-producing services with partners, children and young people, contributing to policy development and national influencing communicating at all levels, for example with young people and at conferences to large audiences
