Private Client Advisor

Are you knowledgeable of the current philanthropic trends and best practice? Harris Hill are currently working with an extremely influential charity that are looking to hire a Private Client Advisor.

 This role will be split between providing advisory services to potential philanthropic donors whilst also acting as a research function – constantly being up to date on major giving trends, best practice and sector leading charities so as to provide a fantastic service to clients who are deciding where best to donate.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the advisory service for private clients
  • Research cause areas, charities, and philanthropic best-practice to stay on top of philanthropic trends and ensure sound and current recommendations are given to private clients
  • Leverage academic and professional networks in support of the Philanthropy Advisory offering and develop formalized partnerships on behalf of the private clients team
  • Lead on the follow-up with clients after all advisory sessions with recommendations, suggested strategy, connections with charities, as appropriate
  • Develop the philanthropy advisory offering as an income-generating business
  • Follow-up with charities and monitor impact of advised donations to ensure private clients are achieving desired results and understand what their donation has enabled
  • Attend and support pitches, training sessions, and meetings with private client team and professional advisors as part of advisory-led client proposition

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Proven track record of relationship building and business development with HNW individuals
  • Experience of providing strategic philanthropy advice
  • Experienced and confident at prospecting and networking with potential new clients
  • Sales or financial experience would be highly desirable
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully negotiate and influence
  • Knowledge of social science research techniques
