Procurement Manager

Job description

A well-known international development charity based in Central London are looking for a Procurement Manager. This role is to support Malaria Country offices with planning, sourcing and delivering the right quality products on-time at value for money, through remote support and field visits that enable detailed understanding of country needs, local markets and import processes/exemptions, as well as through information analysis to optimise the charity’s procurement. Please note this role a FTC for 12 months.

Key responsibilities

  • Support country offices in developing and using their country procurement strategies per product category utilising data from the procurement IT system, the finance system, and other reports
  • Support country offices in developing and consolidating project procurement plans and ensuring they are regularly updated and referenced
  • Identify and highlight any inefficiencies in implementation of the charity’s Procurement Policy and associated tools and that there is donor compliance
  • Lead on all UK based tenders, chairing the UK Procurement Review Committee and ensuring value for money and Procurement Policy compliance
  • Line manage the Supply Chain Coordinator

Person specification

  • A recognised qualification in Procurement
  • Experience in working in a procurement role in an international organisation
  • Experience in supporting supply chain management
  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
