Harris Hill is working with a membership not for profit organisation in their search for a Public Affairs Manager on a full time, 6 month contract.

This urgent role will start ASAP and run full time for 6 months. The organisation is currently working remote but hope to move into a hybrid model in the coming months, so you would need to be prepared to go to the London office at some point.

This role will manage the delivery of the organisations public affairs strategies and engagement programmes, leading the team's approach to monitoring the external environment, content dissemination and targeting of key stakeholders. To include supporting the Lead Public Affairs Manager's overarching strategy for engaging key decision makers and opinion formers, and plan for securing speaking and contribution opportunities for senior ICE staff and members. The key outcomes of this role are to help ensure that the organisations expertise and insight is: recognised and referenced in policy debates; sought for scrutinising and developing policy; and able to support senior politicians test their thinking on policy.

The successful applicant will join an ambitious team and will support the Lead Public Affairs Manager to deliver the public affairs strategy and external engagement programme and therefore have proven experience of planning, implementing and delivering on this. We are also looking for someone who possesses:

Strong interest in and knowledge of current affairs, UK political landscape, processes and issues
Political monitoring and horizon scanning
Stakeholder mapping and management
Stakeholder engagement and relationship building with a wide network of contacts
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Project management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
Confidence using Salesforce or another CRM system
