Quality and Compliance Lead

Job description

A charity are looking for a Quality and Compliance Lead to provide governance and quality oversight for all n the charity's commissioned and CQC registered services. In addition, this role will support the charity to maintain best practice delivery across all services in line with the organisational governance framework, clinical governance arrangements and practice standards.

This is an exciting new role for a dynamic experienced health and social care professional to develop and advance delivery of care across a diverse service base.

This is a fixed term contract until April 2020 with potential of extension or being made permanent.

The role can be based from home as will focus on the charity's services in Berkshire/Oxfordshire or based from an office in Bedford.

Key Responsibilities:
-To ensure that the charity's quality assurance systems and processes are working effectively and are responsive
-Ensuring safety and compliance with the charity's clinical and corporate governance framework and the requirements of industry standards and external bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission
-To work alongside the management team and others to drive and deliver a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation, providing support and advice to all staff, promoting the delivery of high quality safe and caring services.
-Working with local teams to maintain high standards in the charity's commissioned services by monitoring systems that support best practice
Support the development and continuous improvement of services using evidenced based analysis and project management skills to deliver on key objectives.
-To lead on the charity's Policy/Procedure review and ratification process; ensuring that policies and procedures are up to date and implemented
-To contribute to a learning culture, ensuring lessons learnt from incidents are shared widely across commissioned services and the wider organisation, and that any changes required as a result are implemented in services
-Monitoring and improving the use the of case management systems and making certain data quality is kept to a high standard.

Skills and Experience required:
-Experience of working in a Quality team or with close operational experience of Quality assurance systems
-Experience of CQC inspections
-Experience of audit, monitoring and reporting systems and processes within Health and Social Care
-Experience of writing policies, procedures and guidance
-Experience of carrying out incident investigations including producing investigation
reports and action plans
-Thorough understanding of relevant Quality systems such as ISO9001, CQC, NICE,
Clinical Governance systems and Incident reporting processes
-Comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding best practice
