Job description

I am delighted to be working with a fantastic Co-educational Boarding and Day School in Oxfordshire, recruiting for the position of Registrar. The Registrar is a key member of the school's Marketing and Admissions team, providing a vital function in being the initial point of contact for each individual or family enquiring about entry of a student into the school. The Registrar is responsible for overseeing the complete admissions process from initial enquiry to the pupil joining the School.

Key responsibilities include:
Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of registry and admissions work throughout the School, using sales skills to progress each applicant to the next stage through to securing enrolment
Ensure objectives are met for the number and the calibre of new pupils at all entry points
Manage the work of the staff in the Admissions team

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
A strong track record working in a relevant customer-facing admissions role in the independent school sector
Experience of managing a team
Able to establish, sustain and share strong relationships with relevant groups, including parents, staff, pupils and feeder schools

Hours: Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, though due to the nature of the role flexibility will be required with some weekend and evening work.

Salary: Competitive depending on skills and experience.
