I am delighted to be working alongside a fantastic well-established care and research charity in search of a temporary Safeguarding Lead. This role is part of the Operations Leadership Team, you will be the strategic lead for safeguarding across the organisation. Engaging with senior leaders to ensure that excellent safeguarding practice is embedded across the entire organisation and that the organisations services and activities keep people safe from harm.

Main Responsibilities:
Acting as a role model you will drive forward an inclusive, collaborative, high-performance culture -making sure that our values and expected standards of behaviour are embedded across the organisation starting with your own team.
Responsible for ensuring that the charity keeps abreast of changes to the wider safeguarding landscape.
Accountable for overseeing the management of all safeguarding casework, ensuring that people at risk are supported to remain safe and have timely access to appropriate support and intervention, in line with legislative requirements and good safeguarding practice.
Responsible for ensuring that legislative obligations and those set out by the Charity Commission in relation to the effective management and reporting of serious safeguarding incidents.
Provide excellent leadership to the Safeguarding team; balancing support, motivation and challenge to empower the team to provide excellent safeguarding services.
Ensuring that learning from serious safeguarding incidents and safeguarding data and insight is used to continuously improve the services and activities

If you have significant experience of working in a senior safeguarding role, ideally within the third sector with the ability to demonstrate knowledge of the statutory, regulatory and legislative frameworks associated with safeguarding, please apply online or contact me today!
