Senior Business Support Officer

Job description

A charity based in London are looking for a senior business Officer. The successful candidate would need to Support the Associate Head Business Planning to gather the information to define the 3-5 year business plan. You would need to deliver analysis and reports against key KPIs which can effectively guide our marketing activity. Please note the role is a FTC for 9 months.
Key responsibilities
Support the Associate Head - Business Planning, to compile information and metrics for Individual Giving's team 3-5 business plan. To provide information for regular updates on the plan to the Head of Individual Giving
Manage regular production of campaign reports showing results over time and against budget/reforecast. Ensure that reports are delivered accurately and on time.
Works closely with Data Analysts and Management Accountants to develop information, reporting and/or fundraising initiatives.

Person Specification
Excellent communication skills written and oral. With the ability to analyse complex information and create user friendly, digestible reports for the use of non-specialist customers
Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
Strong problem solving and investigation skills, able to analyse interpret and complex information.
Self-starter and able to work unsupervised on own initiative
Educated to degree level or holder of recognised qualification, ideally in a numerate discipline, or equivalent experience
Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to prioritise demanding workloads and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to work cooperatively and negotiate with staff at all levels Knowledge and Experience
A track record in producing information and reports to have a significant financial or business impact.
Demonstrable ability to recommend, scope and produce management information which supports organisational strategies and plans
Experience of producing or supporting budget and reforecast process
Understanding and experience of using marketing/financial databases or systems
Experience of manipulating data sets and carrying out data analysis (experience of using tools such as Fast Stats preferred but not essential) Personal characteristics
