Job description

Harris Hill is seeking a Senior Challenge Events Manager to join a national disability charity in London.

The role is hybrid based and can be 3-5 days per week, paying £45k. This role is likely to be 3 months, whilst they find someone permanently.

The Senior Challenge Events Manager will lead and manage a team of five to develop and deliver an effective, inclusive and accessible programme of virtual and in person Challenge Events (runs, treks and other challenges). Create robust performance indicators and use internal and external insights to develop the most effective approach to acquisition and retention across the programme. Ensure plans focus on generating net income growth to fund the charity's work while also highlighting vision and wider strategic objectives.

Knowledge, skills and experience:
In depth knowledge of the UK's Challenge Events market (virtual and physical) and emerging trends in Challenge Events, including the needs, motivations and expectations of event attendees.
Experience of using digital communication to drive acquisition and retention of supporters delivering an exceptional supporter experience that provides the organisation with the means to target potential supporters effectively
Understand the current regulatory framework governing the delivery and promotion of fundraising events
Experience of developing and delivering successful marketing strategies that drive growth which are aligned with broader organisation or fundraising goals
Experience of developing effective stewardship plans and supporter journeys - including automation and developing cross team delivery plans and SLAs
Experience of working with third party suppliers. Ideally, this experience would include all aspects of supplier management from procurement and briefing to performance management and evaluation
Experience of managing multiple events and competing priorities
Ability to analyse complex data, making and presenting clear recommendations to a range of stakeholders
Ability to successfully operate in a fast paced and large organisation
