Senior Communications Officer

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Senior Communications Officer for a health related charity in order work within a wider project team, to take responsibility for devising and delivering a complex stakeholder comms plan relating to potentially sensitive changes to the services run by the charity.

This will be a temporary contract for up to 6 months.

Key responsibilities will include:

Support the charity's head of communications with other corporate and stakeholder comms planning and delivery.

Experience of stakeholder mapping and communication planning
Experience of running complex communications plans as part of wider change projects
The capacity to engender trust in your advice among colleagues, including senior leaders and managers
Exceptional communication skills, particularly the ability to produce written communications and briefings to support face-to-face communications to a range of different audiences, including audiences who may be feeling anxious and vulnerable
Capacity to quickly get to grips with the key elements of new areas of expertise and service delivery quickly in this case adult social care and SEN schools
Understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality
