A charity based in London are looking for a Senior Database Officer. The successfully candidate will be reporting directly to the Database Manager, this is new post within the Data Team, part of the Finance and Corporate Services Directorate.
Main responsibilities
To take responsibility for the management of all supporter data held on the charity's supporter database, The Raiser's Edge, in liaison with your colleagues in the Data Team.
To undertake the design, development and implementation of import routines in liaison with the Database Manager ensuring that all pertinent data is accurately captured and recorded.
To oversee import processes, ensuring that they are undertaken within agreed timelines.
To undertake the design of database queries, exports and segmentations of basic to intermediate complexity.
To oversee the interface that sits between the database and the email marketing platform, ensuring that all data relating to opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes is accurately captured and recorded on the database.
To liaise with, and provide support including basic training for all stakeholders across the organisation in relation to data matters.
To monitor data capture across the organisation, including the review of web forms as necessary ensuring that best practice data protocols are followed.
To undertake the accurate capture and allocation of financial data and the production of financial reporting.
To implement data restructuring initiatives in liaison with the Database Manager.
To produce and maintain documentation detailing database processes.
To undertake data cleaning initiatives as required and as guided by the Database Manager.
To actively seek improvements to the way we do things.
To ensure that all data is captured, recorded and stored in compliance with GDPR regulations.
Person specification
Knowledge of the charity sector and how databases are used to support fundraising and manage supporter relationships
Knowledge of database processes, architecture and hierarchies
Knowledge of Raiser's Edge
Knowledge of Import-O-Matic
Experience of record management, importing, exporting, queries and reporting
