I'm working with an influential thinktank, which is looking for a Senior Economist to lead on and develop its economic research programmes.
As Senior Economist, you'll ensure that the organisation maintains its high-level influence and continues to contribute to evidence-based policy making. As such, you'll be undertaking high-quality research and analysis, primarily focusing on the impact that an ageing population has on society. You will also be using your research and analysis skills to test current government policy and practice, making use of your advantage of economic theory and practice to influence your research.
As such, you'll have substantial experience in delivering high-quality and influential economic analysis in a public policy or research environment, experience of using statistical analysis to analyse government statistics, and knowledge and expertise in pensions, financial services, the labour market and/or housing. You'll also have experience of managing several concurrent research projects and a solid grounding in applied economics.
This position pays around £45,000 p.a. (full time, permanent), which is negotiable dependent on experience. However, the organisation will consider part-time work, secondments or permanent placements for the right candidate. I will be sending a finalised shortlist of candidates on Monday 28th January, so if you are interested in this position, please send your most recent CV by Friday 25th January at the latest to email@example.com . This application will involve a CV and cover letter.
Please note that only suitable candidates will be contacted.
