Senior Events Fundraising Manager

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Senior Events Fundraising Manager for a national charity based in London. The purpose of this role is to shape and lead on how the Events Fundraising team at the charity delivers the portfolio of events to ensure that income is maximised from this important revenue stream.

Key responsibilities:

To lead the development and delivery of the Events fundraising strategy and the events portfolio
To manage the Events Fundraising team to ensure they are motivated and supported to achieve optimum performance
Maximise net income from Events and existing Events fundraising supporters, and identifying, securing and developing new relationships with potential partners.
To be responsible for developing internal and external relationships and representing the Trust at the highest levels
To develop and implement a marketing and PR strategy for all the Events in the portfolio to maximise ticket sales and income

Person specification:

Experience of working in a fundraising events role Desirable
Experience of setting and managing an income and expenditure budget Essential
Experience of managing and motivating staff and / or volunteers Essential
Experience of working with volunteer committees and high net worth individuals Desirable
Experience of delivering complex events for thousands of people Desirable
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database packages Essential
Knowledge of GDPR Essential
Capable of deputising in the absence of the Head of Volunteer Fundraising
Essential skills include:
A strong leader, decision-maker, having drive, energy and ambition, possessing excellent communication skills, be a team player, be able to plan and organise effectively and manage multiple activities concurrently
