Senior Finance Manger

I am excited to be working with a bold, forward-thinking health charity to find a Senior Finance Manager to lead their small but growing finance function.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and embed finance across the organisation — this 6-month FTC will see you combining strategy, hands-on delivery, and relationship-building. You’ll be central to budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and advising senior leaders, while also overseeing day-to-day operations including payroll, VAT, and Gift Aid.

Hybrid (2 days/week in London HQ) | 4 or 5 days/week | £42–50k FTE 6-month FTC
Immediate start | Charity Sector | Interviews ongoing

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting

  • Deliver monthly reporting and insightful analysis to the senior team

  • Manage VAT returns, payroll processes, and financial systems

  • Support audits and strengthen internal controls

  • Line manage a junior finance team member

  • Liaise with external partners (payroll, accountants)

  • Help embed finance into everyday operations through strong stakeholder engagement

You’ll bring:

  • Part-qualified accountant or equivalent experience

  • Strong track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis

  • Hands-on, adaptable approach and strong interpersonal skills

  • Confidence working in small teams and advising non-finance stakeholders

  • Charity finance knowledge and familiarity with SORP (desirable but not essential)

  • Proficiency in Excel and finance systems
