Social Media Manager

Job description

A national charity seek an interim Social Media Manager for 2-3 months, covering perm recruitment.

Key responsibilities:
Lead our social media strategy, ensuring our activity in this area drives awareness, understanding, engagement, income and donor registrations.
Define and develop the charity's brand story, building on our new brand platform to ensure it is consistent but flexible across social channels.
Manage the social media plan to ensure content is timely and aligned with activity in other areas.
Manage the social media responses rota, ensuring supporter queries are replied to appropriately and in a timely fashion.
Develop social listening tactics to ensure we are able to quickly spot opportunities to develop meaningful relationships and keep abreast of wider trends
Identify and explore new channels and influencers to reach our target audiences, adapting our content strategy and tone of voice appropriately.
Establish a reputation for excellence among colleagues across the organisation to ensure our social media activity is understood and engaged with, and that Digital Engagement's expertise more broadly continues to be valued by other divisions.
Work closely with the Stories Manager and PR Manager to foster a culture of storytelling and develop a pipeline of engaging content that's designed for social. Source, produce and publish remarkable multimedia content that our audiences want to engage with and share
Use latest analytics tools to produce meaningful business insights into the success of social media activity and the outcomes it leads to and continually optimise content based on performance.
Manage a cross-divisional, virtual team of social media champions, ensuring all interactions with Anthony Nolan through this medium are timely, personal and supportive.
Coach more junior colleagues in other teams to become more confident in getting the most out of social media.
Build on reputation within the sector for inspiring, personal and purposeful communications.
Represent the charity when communicating with supporters online, demonstrating empathy and judgement while remaining professional
Manage the blog to ensure our longer-form story content is compelling and kept up to date
Provide training and coaching for subject area experts to produce the best possible content for their audiences
Develop audience specific content plans to support multi-channel campaigns
Write compelling copy that's appropriate for the platform for which it's intended, maintaining a consistent tone of voice
Occasionally project manage the digital facets of projects that have multiple aspects and stakeholders
Represent the Digital Engagement team at internal meetings and present on behalf of the charity at external events
