Special Events Manager

Job description

A national charity in London, seek an Events Manager from 6th January for a couple months, supporting a permanent recruitment period.

The Events Manager will work closely with the Head of Events in the planning, review, development and delivery of a portfolio of new and existing fundraising and engagement events.
As a member of the fundraising team you will contribute to the development of a cohesive relationship management programme across all of the organisations events.


Key responsibilities include:
To lead on a portfolio of events including social, networking and talks to deliver against agreed objectives and income targets.
To maximise income and supporter engagement from all new and existing events.
To line manage the Events Executive.
To work closely with the fundraising team to operationalise event plans for speaker sessions
To work as a member of the wider strategic partnerships team, sharing contacts and information for maximum joined up relationship management, to boost event sales and team participation.
To agree with the Head of Events an evaluation framework to ensure the organisation continues to provide the industry with a range of highly professional, desirable and profitable events.
To work closely with the communications and insights team to maximise event marketing opportunities.
Financial management and budget holder responsibility.
To work within a contract strategy plan to ensure synergy across all event activity, (including Regions).

Experience:
Event management and event sales experience
Event planning and fundraising skills
Highly organised and calm under pressure
Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills
Good working knowledge of databases and the use of data in marketing campaigns
Budget planning and management experience
