We’re partnering with a well-respected, faith-based international charity to recruit a Tax Accountant to join their collaborative and mission-driven finance team.
Tax Accountant (part time, hybrid, charity sector)
Job Title: Tax Accountant
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (21 hours per week – flexible working pattern)
Salary: £28,588 per annum (FTE £47,648)
Location: Hybrid – home-based with regular travel to the office in Teddington
Start Date: As soon as possible
This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on UK VAT and Corporation Tax matters while contributing to process improvements and supporting wider projects. Key responsibilities:
- Lead on the preparation and submission of VAT and Corporation Tax returns 
- Provide expert tax advice to colleagues across the organisation 
- Review and improve tax processes and controls 
- Keep up to date with HMRC guidance and ensure compliance 
- Support on training and upskilling the wider team on tax awareness 
- Contribute to ongoing systems and process development 
About you:
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) with:
- Experience preparing VAT and Corporation Tax returns 
- A good working knowledge of HMRC guidance, particularly around charities 
- Strong Excel and communication skills 
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for improving systems and sharing knowledge 
Experience in the charity sector and knowledge of partial exemption or reverse charge VAT would be a real bonus.
