Trust and Statutory Fundraising Manager

Job description

A national disability charity in London, seek a Trust and Statutory Fundraising Manager immediately, until end January 2020, to cover recruitment. 

Key responsibilities:

Focused delivery of all restricted income in line with annual targets.
Deputise in the absence of the Head of Income Generation to ensure the range of activities to secure income, maintain and develop relationships with funders is seamless.
Develop robust research activities identify new supporters to fund the service programme.
Tailor applications to the needs and requirements of funding bodies.
Keep management  reporting systemse up to date to  ensure that there is a continuous pipeline of potential support for medium and long term success.
Keep accurate records of approaches made and the status of relationships.
Help implement a ‘best in sector’ philosophy and account management to ensure lifetime value is maximised.
Line manage the Income Generation Executives to help deliver the income generation plan, including Performance Reviews, objective and target setting and monthly supervision to measure performance, identify and implement any support required or remedial actions.
Implement and support the stewardship programme and management of relationships with funders and potential funders
To provide monthly reports on results and progress and other ad-hoc reporting as required.
To provide guidance, support and advice to other members of the team and work closely with other functions to make the most of any opportunities that arise.
Work closely with the departmental Managers and service delivery staff to ensure that as delivery evolves it can be funded.
Carry out all duties and responsibilities in line with organisational policy, employment legislation and other best practice guidelines. Demonstrating accountability to donors, supporters and volunteers and operating at all times with openness, honesty and transparency.
Ensure that equality and diversity is embedded in all activities
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and legislation and protect the welfare of service users and all other children and young people/vulnerable adults that have contact with the organisation.

Experience:

Essential

Proven successful experience of soliciting, managing and securing restricted funding to meet prescribed targets.
A thorough understanding of the essential components of trust and statutory fundraising strategies and proven experience of strategy implementation.
Excellent writing skills.
Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with funders.
Resilient and be able to cope with rejection.
Innovative and flexible in all activities.
Ability to multi-task effectively during busy periods.
Excellent customer care skills.

Desirable
Experience of working with customer databases.
Previous line management experience.
