A charity in London seek an experienced Trust and Statutory Fundraiser ASAP for 3 months on a full time basis.

Duties:
To take lead responsibility for the management and development of statutory fundraising.
To take an active role in identifying and submitting proposals to other funding institutions (e.g. Comic Relief, EU, National Lottery Fund) and trusts and foundations.
To support the Head with selected larger (institutional) bids.
Ensure the delivery of income targets by identifying and applying to relevant funders in a timely and appropriate way, with well researched, high-quality funding applications.
Conduct regular research to identify new prospects and funding streams to ensure a continuous pipeline of potential support.
Tailor applications to the needs and requirements of funders, ensuring that the most relevant approach is made.
Develop effective relationships with funders, ensuring high quality reporting, stewardship and account management.
To work to agreed targets, maintaining accurate records of approaches made, status of relationships and successes.


Experience:
Proven successful experience of soliciting, managing and securing grants and contracts from statutory bodies; major funding institutions and trusts and foundations.
Thorough knowledge of the essential components of income generation including account management and stewardship, backed up by demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of funders.
Excellent writing skills.
Clear understanding of output and outcome monitoring processes.
Evidence of working collaboratively across an organisation to gather data and information for proposals and reporting.
Proactive and self motivated with a 'can-do' attitude.
To be emotionally intelligent and have the resilience to cope with rejection.
Ability to multi-task effectively during busy periods.
Excellent customer care skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Strong user of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
