How does the Trust Manager contribute to Ashden?

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for growing long-term support from a wide range of charitable trusts and Foundations. This role will be pivotal to our future success and an essential part of Ashden's Development Team.

This is a new role joining a team of three. As part of the Fundraising Team, this role will report to the Director of Development and work closely with Fundraising Officer and the Senior Corporate Fundraiser. You will also work closely and collaboratively with other members of the team to create compelling and persuasive funding bids as well as engage with our winners, partners, supporters and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Identify opportunities to raise funds from trusts and foundations focusing on applications/proposals above 100,000.

Initiate and build relationships with new trusts and foundations via telephone, email, face to face meetings and events.

Prepare and submit an agreed number of high-quality proposals, in line with the requirements of potential funders

Ensure consistent and high standards of stewardship are applied to all trust supporters.

Ensure a strong trust and foundation pipeline is maintained by tracking and planning applications.

Work closely with all departments to acquire project information for updates and funding proposals .


Essential Criteria

Highly proficient in grant funding proposals as well as reports and other donor related communications.

At 3-5 years' work experience in fundraising roles.

Experience of securing income from trusts and foundations

Experience of successful relationship management/account management
.
Experience of working to targets and reporting on income and expenditure.

Fluent in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Able to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.

Ambitious, entrepreneurial and professional approach.

Interest in sustainability.
