Website Officer

Job description

Harris Hill is looking for an interim Website Officer to support an emotional support/ mental health charity for 2 months, on a full time basis.

This role can be based remotely, London or Surrey and pays £30k equivalent.

We're looking for a Website Officer to support the CMS publishing workflow. We need a website content specialist who can get up to speed quickly with processes and tools (Jira, Wagtail, Trello, Slack) and take the lead on optimising and publishing content. It's not a copywriting role, but good editorial skills and attention to detail are essential, as are a strong grasp of UX, accessibility and SEO.

Essential:
Demonstrable experience of updating websites using content management systems.
Experience using web analytics packages, interpreting results, testing and optimising user journeys. Uses Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio.
Understanding of user experience and accessibility to inform web design and development activity
Able to create written content which adheres to the charity's editorial guidelines
Understanding of the sensitivities of dealing with a vulnerable online audience

Technical skills

Knowledge and experience of administrating and updating content using a content management system
An understanding of responsive design
An understanding of digital marketing, user journeys, personas, and marketing attribution
Proven image editing and design skills with some experience using design packages such as Photoshop
Able to interpret visual identity guidelines and apply them creatively and consistently across a range of digital channels

Desirable:
Knowledge of web languages including HTML/xHTML, CSS, JavaScript and JQuery to enhance the development of existing sites
Experience of Wagtail CMS
Knowledge of data protection principles, PCI DSS and other legal requirements/guidelines related to website and digital services
