Accounts Techician

Job description

Harris Hill Charity Recruiters are looking for an Accounts Technician for a small accountancy firm based in West Sussex. They tend to work with small charities preparing year-end accounts.

Full or part-time considered (salary subject to experience).

The organisation is situated in a rural setting so own transport is essential; there may be occasions where local client visits are also necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparation of annual accounts of charitable organisations
Online filing of forms with HMRC and the Charity Commission
Liaising with and supporting clients throughout the process
Liaising with external bodies when required

Essential Skills:
Have good computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Have a good telephone manner and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and professional manner
Should be fully or partly qualified, e. AAT qualification

Preferred skills:
Experience with online accounting services, i.e. QuickBooks Online or Xero, would be advantageous.
Ideally would be an ACA fellow, or have charity accounting experience; however, full training will be given for the right candidate.

Experience:
Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)
