Assistant Programme Manager

Job description

I am currently working with an amazing innovative charity to recruit an Assistant Programme Manager. The charity's projects are usually complex with a high public profile, and they have significant impact on the lives of many thousands of people, and they are looking for someone to guarantee day-to-day smooth programme(s) execution, working closely with the Programme Lead, Programme Manager and Communications team.

Main focus:
Completing procurement and set up of a CRM system that will be shared across partners for the project. This will include developing use policies, setting up the CRM system and running sessions with partners to agree ways of using the tool.
Day-to-day support to the Comms & Engagement Manager, which could include tasks such as: responding to enquiries; drafting comms materials such as outreach emails, social media posts and blogs; planning and preparation for events.
Day-to-day support to the Main Competition Manager during the design and pre-launch phase, which could include tasks such as developing eligibility and assessment criteria for the competition, developing the assessment process.

Duties:
Monitoring of milestones, evaluation and finance to keep track of project budgets and deadlines. Flagging action points to Programme Manager when necessary.
Develop, maintain and revise (as necessary) systems and key documents that will underpin the delivery of the prize(s).
Support the programme manager in the assessment and judging process for entries to the prize(s).
Work with others to utilise the impact and monitoring framework to demonstrate the impact of prizes, collecting and analysing relevant data.
Working with partners and clients to identify the focus of prizes, supporting the design of prizes, conducting research with stakeholders and experts where necessary.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of the prize(s).
Support the onboarding of entrants. Create and maintain a good communication channel with them for the smooth operations of the challenge process
Day-to-day management of some external relationships, including clients, delivery partners, agencies and prize entrants.
Support the management of internal and external events relating to the prizes including workshops, roadshows, judging panels, outreach events, launch events and award ceremonies.
Working with the Communications lead to support the delivery of communications strategies, contributing to marketing materials and developing content for web and social media.
