12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with an international health organisation in their search for a brilliant Assistant Programme Manager.

Your new role

As Assistant Programme Manager you will be responsible for supporting the effective and efficient project management and administration of projects (long and short-term) for a variety of clients.

You will be supporting the Programme Manager and/or Team Leader/Project Lead to define project tasks and resource requirements, and provide support in developing, implementing and updating project management tools, trackers and systems.

Additional responsibilities include, responding to requests from donors / clients, project partners and project staff and supporting input in reviewing internal and external project reports. Liaising with wider team members, such as Programme Manager, Business Accountant and Financial Team members will be critical in ensuring financial procedures and policies are followed.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful you will need experience in project cycle management including budgeting, project planning, financial and narrative report writing. You will have worked for an organisation where you have managed donor funded budgets and managed complex logistic arrangements within tight timelines and to budget. You will also need to demonstrate experience of contracts and contracting.

The ability to work proactively and independently is crucial to the role. You will also need to possesses strong communication and organisational skills.
