An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an international organisation TOPRA, the professional membership organisation for individuals working in healthcare regulatory affairs. TOPRA works with its members internationally to enable and promote excellence across the healthcare regulatory profession.

TOPRA represents and promotes the global healthcare regulatory profession in all sectors and encourages members to engage in a number of activities its activities, such as career-spanning training and educational qualifications. It is now looking for an Associate Director of Engagement to join on a permanent basis.

TOPRA - Associate Director or Engagement

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Salary: Circa £55,000

Contract: Permanent

The Associate Director of Engagement will be responsible for working closely and collegially with the Board and Director's to develop and implement a new communications strategy for TOPRA. Managing strategic oversight of all communications, marketing and digital activities. This work will contribute to the organisation achieving the aims and ambitions of TOPRA 2025 Strategy. The Associate Director will also help set, oversee, and meet budgetary targets for the communications team and wider organisation. As part of the senior leadership team this role will be instrumental in the delivery of TOPRA 2025 aims and the dissemination of progress made within membership and wider stakeholder community.

The Associate Director of Engagement will manage, support and develop all members of the Communications team who are responsible for marketing, communications, PR, social media and digital output. The Associate Director will also write and produce high level corporate communications, act as a guardian of the TOPRA brand, oversee image management, ensure a favourable media profile and support, develop and deliver the TOPRA Awards for Regulatory Excellence Programme.

The successful candidate will have proven strategic leadership and ability to 'see the bigger picture'. You will have experience of working at Senior/Director level, ideally in professional association, editorial, journalism or a PR environment with a healthcare/scientific focus. You will have excellent written, verbal and presentational skills along with a successful track record of effective delivery of business-critical projects. You will be a collaborative leader, comfortable working at all levels with Board, management team, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
