We are seeking an experienced Campaigns Officer for 11 weeks, starting 17th June, to work with a homeless charity.
The post of Campaigns Officer works closely with the Campaigns Manager to ensure we develop timely, creative and effective communication tools and activities to engage more people and achieve our campaigning objectives.
The Campaigns Officer will need to work closely, and build relationships with fundraising, communication and operational colleagues, as well as clients, as we continue to implement our ambitious influencing strategy.
Assist in the planning and delivery of campaign activities and events
Develop and distribute high quality campaign resources and materials, including writing copy for print and online outlets
Facilitate the process of identifying new campaigns supporters and groups and activities in line with campaigns strategies
Regularly review and provide feedback on campaigning activities and events.
Produce and maintain a regular contact programme with key audiences, ensuring that they are kept up to date with our work, receive updates on how our campaigning is having an impact, and encouraging them to take part in activities.
Act as liaison for groups and individuals undertaking campaigning activities, including organising speakers and creating campaign packs.
Identifying and collecting compelling case studies and stories from our clients to support the campaign
Work with communications staff to advance our social media profile at key campaign moments
Keep up to date on campaigning trends, competitor activities, effective communication tools, and effective e-recruitment and development of new campaign supporters.
Experience working for a charity in a campaigning role or similar
Experience of producing written publications for specific audiences
Experience of writing for the web, and in using social media for communications, campaigning and networking
Experience of monitoring and evaluation in a campaigns or marketing context
Experience of using CRM technologies and email platforms to achieve communications objectives.
