Commercial Project Manager

A charity are looking for a Commercial Projects Manager This post, Commercial Projects Manger will support and lead on key Commercial Tenders through to a successful delivery and hand over to Contract Managers. Examples may include Catering, Events and other income deriving contracts such as venue hire.

The Commercial Team is focused on three things:

1. Project managing high value Commercial tenders predominantly events and catering;
2. Initiating and leading Commercial development projects, and providing commercial advice to existing or new projects and programmes; and
3. Providing Commercial and contract management advice and support to high value and service led income generating contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
-Project managing income generating projects, by applying the appropriate project management disciplines and processes which result in the best outcome for the charity.
-You will lead the drafting of key tender documents to a high standard and meeting the objectives of the project, managing Tenders from the initiation stage through to project close and lessons learnt - You will support the development of business cases justifying selected commercial models and procurement approaches, as well as investment
-Supporting the development of business cases and financial analysis to ensure full understanding of the operational and financial impacts of commercial projects and any risks to delivery.
-Define and engage project stakeholders, directing managing and motivating project teams to achieve project milestones and the desired project outcome. Maintain and promote compliance with all Procurement and other policies, regulations and standards as appropriate and to the satisfaction of the associated Project Board.
-Leading best practice in relationship and contract management, communicating in a clear and concise manner rks.


Skills and Experience required:
-Qualification or equivalent experience in relevant subject matter (Business, Financial, Operational)
-Formal Project Management qualification to Foundation level or equivalent (PRINCE2, APM etc)
-Demonstrable experience of project managing Commercial tenders and contracts inline within the necessary Procurement Regulation which generate an income up to 1m per annum.
-Has worked in and contributed to collaborative Project and departmental team environments and is comfortable in supporting and being supported by the Head of Commercial Projects to deliver business and team objectives
-Ability to interpret and deliver a range of financial data and management information to support business case development. Demonstrates good financial and budgetary disciplines
-Experience of developing strong relationships in order to achieve the necessary engagement in project development and delivery.
-Exceptional planning and organising skills - able to plan and prioritise own time effectively, and anticipate and adjust for problems, risks or changing requirements to keep delivery on track, remaining positive through challenge
