Communication Assistant

Job description

Harris Hill is looking for a Communications Assistant for 12 weeks, on a full time temporary basis. 

The role is in central London for a national health/ medical charity. The Communications Officer role involves:

Proactive and reactive press office and media relations, including out of hours (on rota basis)
Creating content for and managing our social media channels, including out of hours (on rota basis)
Devising and delivering integrated communications activity supporting the organisation’s ambitions
Case study management – interviewing, processing and pitching to media
Supporting the team with case study interviews and management

Key requirements

Strong administrative skills, ideally within communications environment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, experienced with communicating to a range of internal and external audiences
Proactive, with an enthusiastic and flexible approach
Desirable – experience of charity, health, campaigns or research communications
