Communications Advisor (12 Month FTC)

Job description

I am delighted to be supporting a newly established and growing organisation in their search for a passionate Communications Advisor with a political nous.

As Communications Advisor you will join their Communications team and manage communications and engagement for the authority. In managing public relations, marketing and stakeholder engagement you will raise the profile of the organisation and the incredible impact they are making. This will be a busy but rewarding role, supporting the Head of Communications to manage all external relations no two days will be the same!

Established in 2017 they are an exciting authority who hit way above their weight. They have grown to now have over 100 members of staff who are supporting local councils, the Business Board, local public services, Government departments and agencies, universities and businesses to grow the local and national economy. This represents a very interesting blend of national and local government and it at the heart of delivery.

The ideal candidate:

  • Significant level of experience in comms and external comms
  • Track record in managing an organisations media activity
  • Ability to select and create relevant content to suit a range of audiences
  • Excellent project management experience
  • Solid relationship builder with excellent stakeholder management skills

Location: Cambridgeshire with flexible working / fully remote option

Salary: £39,880 - £41,880

Contract: 12 Month Maternity Cover
