Communications Manager (High Value)

Are you passionate about creating inspiring content? Are you organised, with excellent interpersonal skills? A well-known children's charity based in London are looking for a High Value Communications Manager to lead their Case Creation team to support their high value fundraising efforts.

Generous supporters account for almost 90% of the charity's annual income. Securing large gifts from and developing long-term relationships with these individuals, foundations and partners is imperative and requires engaging and inspirational content, cases for support and related propositions. This role will therefore play a crucial part in the charity and their fight to change the world for children.

In a challenging fundraising environment, the need to keep children safe from abuse and neglect remains urgent. The Supporter Management team sits within the Fundraising & Engagement Department to steward and grow the organisation s High Value audience. This function is responsible for delivering the research, propositions, communications and events that enable fundraisers to build rewarding, long-term relationships with our biggest supporters.


Led by the High Value Communications Manager, the Case Creation element of the Supporter Management Team works closely with colleagues across the Fundraising Directorate and wider organisation. This role leads on content strategy and works with two line reports to generate both core and bespoke content and communications for the high value audiences. These audiences comprise donors and partners at levels up to and beyond 1m - include leading philanthropists; individual donors; trusts and statutory grant-makers; corporate, celebrity and volunteer partnerships at the highest levels. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Extensive expertise in creating engaging and inspiring content
  • Proven success in producing compelling cases for support and marketing content
  • A strategic and proactive approach with an excellent eye for detail
  • Well-developed ability to source, analyse and present information clearly to drive strategy

Salary: 37,366- 43,999
