Community Fundraising Manager - Cardiff, Bath, Bristol

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a great health charity in the hope to find them a new Regional Fundraiser for Wales and SW England. These two organisations offer support to those individuals who struggle to manage their lung condition, from acute to chronic issues to strip all boundaries and limits that young blind people are faced with every day. The role, which is home-based for now, is going to be suited for a confident and independent candidate who can take the initiative and go the extra mile to ensure the team fundraising targets are met. The role will be best suited for those candidates who have had a few years of community fundraising experience and are able to dive straight into the role. The ideal candidate will be a driven relationship builder who has a talent for spotting new opportunities and capitalising upon them, in order to achieve fundraising targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional supporter care, placing the supporter at the heart of everything you do.
  • Build a network of engaged and committed volunteer fundraisers in the region, encouraging them to fundraise and raise awareness of the cause in their communities and networks
  • Create a portfolio of events and products drawing on existing organisational initiatives and your own regional knowledge and insight
  • Demonstrate the value of community fundraising to the organisation through gathering fundraiser stories, connections and introductions
  • Promote and represent the work of the charity and of local fundraisers in the media to strengthen engagement with the local community and raise the organisation's profile


Key Experience:

  • A proven track record in community, events or regional fundraising with knowledge of growing income from a diverse range of income streams
  • Experience of recruiting, managing and motivating fundraisers and volunteers to increase engagement and income
  • Analysing strengths and weaknesses and learnings from existing activity and building a programme based on this insight
  • Experience of working to, meeting and exceeding targets
  • Ability to interpret financial information and budgets
