Creative Services Production Team Manager

Harris Hill is looking for a Creative Services Production Team Manager to support a national children's charity on an interim basis.

The role is 3 - 6 months, full time and pays circa £40kpa. The role is that classic head of creative services type role, mostly focussed on maintaining production (currently Traffic) to keep a team of designers and copywriters busy, being an informed point of contact on briefs and managing admin re contracts/invoices etc.

Job Purpose
To lead and manage the account management resource within the Creative Team responsible for the delivery of a range of communications materials for campaigns, partnerships and events.
To line manage the marketing production team (within the creative team), in line with policies and practice including regular team meetings and regular personal development reviews, coaching and mentoring staff to achieve high performance, growth and personal development.
Manage key client relationships across the organisation - ensuring work meets the expectations set out in the original client brief, and support the Creative Team in providing clear and persuasive rationale for concepts and creative execution. The post-holder will support the Head of Creative to manage Studio staff to ensure all presentations are on time, key milestones are met and projects remain on budget.
Work with the Head of Creative to ensure all projects are booked in, allocated to the appropriate team members, and remain on schedule. Due to the ever-changing and often conflicting nature of commissioners' priorities and deadlines, they will work with the Head of Creative to change schedules, reallocate projects and reprioritise work when necessary.
To be the first point of call for the Creative Team, reviewing briefs and control the scheduling of all projects within the Creative Team, allocating appropriate resources.
This will be in consultation with the Head of Creative, creative director, film and animation manager as well as wider digital and marketing teams, to ensure jobs meet the requirements of the commissioner, the brand, and the objectives agreed in the brief.
To ensure an accurate record of all activity within the Creative Team and the reporting of accounts and expenditure on jobs to the Head of Creative, through the use of Traffic software, and provide reports on key performance indicators of studio results to the Head of Creative and Head of Marketing.
To manage the Creative Development Team's IT systems and software, acting as the contact point for IT support, overseeing budgets, and maintaining an overview of equipment.
To manage contracts, raise purchase orders and maintain an overview of budgets in relation to freelance staff and creative work outsourced to external agencies.

Experience:
Experience of working with creative disciplines and an understanding of the work and requirements of a creative team.
Substantial experience of project management, administration and prioritisation along with the ability to organise and plan own work and the work of others in order to meet agreed objectives.
Budget management and accounting skills.
Highly developed written communication skills including the ability to write reports and present complex information in a clear and persuasive way for a range of audiences.
Well developed ability to verbally present information, including progress reports, updates and systems briefings to a range of audiences in a clear, accurate persuasive and confident way to achieve desired outcomes.
Effective interpersonal skills necessitating working well with others as part of a team, giving support and recognising expertise in others and a proven track record of working with teams and departments to maximise results for an organisation.
Highly developed creative ability to identify and devise inventive solutions in order to achieve desired outcomes.
Experience of using Mac-based software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet and project management software
