Data Protection Support Coordinator

Job description

I am delighted to be working with an amazing national youth organisation in search of a Data Protection Support Coordinator. This hybrid role is to provide comprehensive support to the success of the Data Protection team and excellent administrative support to the wider team members.

Main areas of responsibility:
To act as the first point of contact for data protection enquiries and to log, review and respond to queries from volunteers and members.
To work with the Data Protection Lead to respond to, prepare and dispatch subject access requests within the required timescales.
To manage the data protection monitoring log on behalf of the Data Protection Lead where required.
To identify risks and potential breaches, escalate them as necessary and work with the Data Protection Lead to develop a remedial action plan to improve data protection compliance.
To liaise with the Data Protection Lead and Enterprise Risk Manager about any correspondence received from Information Commissioners Office (ICO) or data protection queries from other regulatory or statutory agency as required.
To work with the Data Protection Lead and support on the production and management of data protection impact assessments for the organisation and produce impact assessments for the data protection officer when required.

Essential skills:
Strong organisational skills and working to deadlines with the ability to prioritise tasks
Using large databases, pulling information and updating records
Knowledge of Data Protection Laws and an in-depth knowledge of UK GDPR and its implications for the charity
