Database Manager

Job description

I am currently looking for an experienced Database Manager to Complete the implementation and roll out of the ThankQ CRM database upgrade for an outstanding local Kent school. This temporary role is to provide cover whilst recruiting for the permanent, applicants will be considered for both the temporary and permanent post!
Main duties:
Record and maintain detailed project documentation for the upgrade and beyond
Work closely with IT team and other colleagues to determine effective long-term use and management of ThankQ including reporting requirements.
Regularly engage with internal stakeholders, suppliers and third parties, managing as appropriate.
In conjunction with the Director of Development, Associate Director (Fundraising) and the Foundation team, proactively identify and implement new data systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Foundation's work.
Improve the structure and content of the database, proactively identifying problems with the database which limit success/efficiency and seek to remedy them.
Ensure all reporting requirements of donors, trusts and foundations are effectively managed in line with stewardship requirements.
Establish and provide regular reports on fundraising, performance, engagement and forecasts.
Develop protocols and guidelines for Foundation and School 'authorised' users to access, maintain and manipulate data to achieve the mission of the School and Foundation.
Manage data imports and exports in conjunction with Development Officer (Database and Admin).
Support the management of gift processing in line with the Foundation's Gift Acceptance Policy.
Provide a comprehensive database training and support programme to the team and other Foundation database users.
Work closely with the Bursar's office on Foundation data compliance and represent the Foundation at data protection meetings as required.

Person Specification:
You will need to have exceptional knowledge and experience of CRM database management and information systems, ideally including experience of a cloud-based system. Knowledge of ThankQ would be advantageous
You will be an experienced, dynamic data project manager who has coordinated multiple projects and is used to delivering programmes to meet user requirements.
An understanding of requirements around data compliance (GDPR and PECR) is essential
You will be a proactive, top-quality communicator, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and to translate technical information to non-technical users/stakeholders with ease.
