Harris Hill is delighted to be assisting a fantastic Human Rights branch of an international law association, in the search for a new Development Coordinator at their London Office.

This organisation works coherently with some of the world's largest and most well-founded institutions such as; DFID, UN and UNAID to name a few. The organisation strive to be the global voice of the legal profession; strengthened by 80,000 individual international lawyers and 190 bar associations over 170 countries. The branch that the postholder will be a part of focuses on pertinent human rights issues that form the basis of targeted capacity building and advocacy projects, such as; the abolition of the death penalty, poverty and sexual orientation. This branch supports lawyers and judges that are arbitrarily harassed, intimidated or harassed through advocacy and trial observations.

The crux of the role revolves around the development of funding schemes and identifying new potential streams. From here, you will construct proposals to trustees and wealthy individuals, ensuring that they are in line with the donor's expectations. In conjunction with these tasks, the postholder will be continually monitoring and evaluating the current trends in donations whilst performing typical administrative duties that come with the role.

To be considered for this role you will need to be well versed in building and managing relationships with trusts and foundations. Significant experience of successful fundraising from trusts and foundations. Demonstrable excellent written communication skills. And a very in-depth understanding of trends in Trusts and Foundations.
