Digital and Communicatons Manager

Job description

A leading UK Women's charity is looking to recruit a Digital and Communications Manager. This role would suit someone looking to make the switch from being a journalist or working within a PR Agency as the position requires excellent writing skills and sound news sense.

You would be responsible for the management of the charity website; this includes creating new content and introducing new ways to drive traffic to the website. You would also work on the development of integrated social media campaigns and manage all social media content. It is therefore crucial that you are a strong writer, with the ability to create meaningful, relevant and shareable content to engage a greater number of people and to increase engagement with key influencers. Experience in graphic design would also be desirable, in order to lay out small brochures and newsletters.

Another aspect of the role is to identify, conceive and pro-actively develop newsworthy stories and features and sell in to target media with a focus on national and women's consumer press, and the growing sector of online and digital media outlets. You would also proactively engage with bloggerswith an interest in women's health, babies and children and identify and 'recruit' case studies in these areas.

If you're experienced in running both a website and social media campaigns (with an understanding of SEO and website metrics), have a track record in creating fresh compelling copy and are passionate about helping make a difference to the lives of women, babies and their families, then please do get in touch!

Please note CV's are being considered on a rolling basis so do get in touch ASAP to not miss out!
